Vampirella
Vampi has adorned comic book stores since the 1960s - starting off as a Spooky Comic host, introducing us to the Creepy Tales within each magazine.
Dynamite now publishes new Vampirella comics as well as offering reprints of the legacy stories - which is Very Cool Indeed!!!
Being a Vampi fan myself, when a friend mentioned her recently it just felt like a fun idea to have Rosie 8.24 cosplay as Vampirella for 2024
Unfortunately, YouTube has flagged the content at "Mature - 18 years old+"
Upon disputing this, I was told (in text - it's impossible to ever get 'personal' assistance from YouTube... EVER!) that I could write in my reasoning for rebuttal. But in practice, all I ever got were "Next" buttons to stamp and I never got a chance to tell my side of the story - which is that my video conforms very much to the comics, which were sold publicly in comic retail stores across the country.
I just checked and, sure enough - those earlier Vampirella comics are "Rated: All"
Still, I agree with their reasoning. My video probably shouldn't be acceptable for "Family" viewing, but 18+? Hmmm...
If you're logged into YouTube and, you're at least 18 years of age, you may check out my cool dedication videos here:
Rosie 8.24 Cosplays as Vampirella - Vol 001 (the first one, which got itself flagged Mature)
Rosie 8.24 Cosplays Vampirella - Vol 01 (the second one I made to try and get past the Mature Rating, but failed)
Amazing Art
I guess that, always being able to access this sort of imagery growing up, I have a difficult time with censorship.
Nonetheless, throughout Vampirella's history, we've seen the art change as various artists became involved in the product.
All of which are Excellent!
The cover art is Always amazing and alluring and, even if you're not a fan of black and white, the interior art was very well done too!
This is where I got the idea for the 'in chains' animation in Rosie 8.24 Cosplays as Vampirella - Vol 001, which is one of the sequences I pulled when making Rosie 8.24 Cosplays Vampirella - Vol 01 - thinking that the "Bondage" aspect of it was bothering the algorithm.
It's easy to see how these comics inspired the Cosplay videos to be as they are.
I mean... That's Vampi!
Always in the thick of it - getting herself in Deep!
That particular comic is now available in a collection - either a Hardcover Tome, or Digital Download: HERE
which is the second of such wonderful collections. The first is sold-out and only available digitally.
On the right we're seeing the cover of the first - artwork by none other than Frank Frazzetta
I think that these Hardcover Archives are Awesome!
What a great way to preserve something that has been So Sold-Out over its history. Too bad the archives themselves are being difficult to remain in stock!!!
At least we can still opt for Digital Download, even for this sold-out Archives Volume One
The Archives volumes one through fifteen brings back the entire collection of Vampirella under her original publisher: Warren
Here are links to each of the Archived Volumes:
Here are some of the YouTube videos I've found on Vamipella. I really like these first ones by Casually Comics

Very cool stuff, All Sorts of Words!
That was a really nice tour and words-of-advice special. Much appreciated! :)
More Vampi is available today, along with much more on its way in thanks to the fine folks at Dynamite for keeping her legacy Alive!!!
