Thanks Daz 3d!!!

Dynamic Character Animation in Daz Studio - Thank You All!!!

Daz 3d and Digital Art Live and All who joined in the fun on this Amazing ride:

Thank you All for this wonderful opportunity. Unlocking a fun and efficient way to animate in Daz Studio was such a Game Changer for me - I wanted to share it with the World. I am having such a great experience animating in Daz Studio - which really does go against the most popular beliefs - Daz Studio truly doesn't open up to the animator like traditional animation tools, that's for sure.

I had to put my thinking cap on. It also didn't present itself to me as elegantly as it becomes once we know the process.

The first of my attempts at the dials is now a freebie here on the site. A very rudimentary beginning of what ended up becoming what truly can be an entire replacement for having to use the graph editor destructively on key frames - individually... fiddling around with... yeah... none of that.

Anyways, my friend put me in touch with Paul Bussey - creator and wearer of many hats of Digital Art Live. What a genuine treat!

What Paul was looking for, and what I wanted to say were a perfect fit. It took a long time to make. If you've ever seen my babble session videos, you'll know that it wasn't easy for me to put it all together so clear and concise. But after my first live meeting with Paul, something just popped and my head filled with inspiration with a clear path forward - and these are the results of it.

To everyone involved, from the teams at Daz 3d and at Digital Art Live, to all of the customers who joined in on the fun and to those who may yet in the future...

Thank You!!!

Awesome Daz 3d Sales Events Thrill my Library!

This Holiday Season's "Punch Card" Sale features along with all of the sporadic Flash sales and other massive discount offers have filled my library with some really cool new things lately! Here's just a sneak peak at some of it:

This thing is Awesome!!! Complete with control dials for suspension, foot pegs, gear shift, brake and clutch levers, spinning the wheels... I've come to expect these things from folks like DzFire, but some of the new PAs have been selling me Beautiful vehicles, but without even steering or door controls... I was really happy to see for myself the high quality of these controls - and the Bike itself is Gorgeous!!!

Special Thank You to Mely3D of Daz 3d

Take a brief tour of my Mely3D collection - As a Daz + Member I have been gifted many of these at no cost, others at incredibly low prices.

This massive setup comes with some exquisite models with the amazing surface material talents we've all come to expect from Polish

Rather than join in the moan and groan that animation is troublesome at best in Daz Studio, I put my thinking cap on and found a way to make it work. Using these methods it not only works, but it's fun and very efficient! I'm anticipating that I'll never go back to my old ways!

Special thanks to all of the Daz 3d devs that put their heart and soul into making Studio what it is today! Love It!!! heart

And a Special Thanks also to GoFigure for creating aniMate 2+ and all of the amazing motions you've captured in your studio for us to apply to our cool characters!!! heart

Finding Daz 3d in my early years

of all of this was a real godsend! Not only have they always had content of the highest quality, but also the most amazing prices - an odd, but welcome combination!

I've been a Platinum Club member right from the start and, it wasn't until I decided to let that membership lapse before I realized how much that saved me in building my library. Wow, what a difference! The still have incredibly competitive pricing, but the PC+ really changes the game in a Big way!

...a forum post I made during the Christmas Giveaway at Daz 3d in 2016:

Just recently the huge Platinum Club Plus giveaways and super-low deals filled around three whole pages in my Daz 3d account Product Library - all really great stuff too!

I'm one who has always been a Daz 3d fan - ever since I've learned of their existence. So I have a whole lot of favorites that date back to their earliest of years. Owning Carrara really expanded that as well. Even if an older item just comes with basic colors that might look a little weird on its own can become something absolutely wonderful in this gem of a 3D studio - truly.

Saying that, I've been afraid to turn on any shopping filters during this whole PC+ Giveaway thing - scared that I might miss something really cool!

I've got stuff for Genesis (1, 2, 3 and 8), V4, M4 and Mil Dragon and Dragon 3, as well as a bunch of other really great things. It's so darned exciting for me to be able to do this stuff!

How many times have I gone right past Nybras - not taking a close enough look to see how truly awesome he is. Yes, I have the mighty Demonecornuto, by Predatron and a cool Demon for Genesis by RAWART. But there's always room for a new demon in my runtime - and now I find out that Nybras is so much more than I've ever imagined - getting him for Free! Did you know that Nybras can turn into a Dragon with the turn of a dial?

Nybras Expansion includes two ultra-high resolution textures with bump and displacement maps, 22 action poses, 71 head morphs and 31 body morphs.

Dragon 3 is really cool - got some awesome stuff for him. That'll never replace my Mil Dragon 2 that I love so much - got some cool stuff for him too and grabbed the Wyvern 2.0 as well, but the new dragon is a welcome new addition - such an amazing figure! Castles, vehicles, Sci Fi environmental and control props...

Man! A lot of cool stuff already!

Thank You Daz3d and all artists involved in all of this!

I wrote the words a while ago and nothing has changed. My library has been growing like crazy thanks to Daz 3d, their PC+ and their Premier Artists. Let's take a look at some of this incredible gear, shall we?

Have a Question? Just Ask!

I love to help others as best I can. This is a rather broad topic: CG Filmmaking, so my articles on any particular topic may not answer your specific question.

Most of the questions directed to me are regarding Carrara or How did I do this?

For these sorts of things, post your question at the Carrara Discussion Forum (or another appropriate category) at Daz 3D.com forums, and if I don't see it right away, someone else might. They are such a friendly and helpful bunch! I've learned so much from that forum over the years!

For a more immediate question directed to me, log into those forums and Send me a PM!

Platinum Club + Experience - It's amazing how much value we can get from this service if we check in often! Even with little internet time I've been able to really fill up my library over the years - and the yearly membership cost is tiny comparatively

Daz 3D Content - Mainly just a container/landing page, but will eventually be really cool!
