From the main page, this is Rosie's Artemis 3 costume - A Sci-Fi gunslinger with her own starship, several robot pals and, of course, the endless supply of courage that it takes to carry the name: Rosie 8! :)
The costume on the left is made up from customized assets from the products on the right - and the rest of the examples follow this same structure.
Swashbuckler on the high seas
Mostly inspired by Ciri from The Witcher Series, this comfy outfit takes Rosie all around the Fantasy Landscapes.
Sometimes we just need a Jungle Girl, a survivor of an apocalypse, a dungeon prisoner....
Aside from "Skin Effects: Adventures Vol. 1", also by Aeon Soul, this scant outfit is edited via Fit Control for Genesis 8 Female and the Fit Control Add-on and then made into dForce-Ready garments.
AlphaKini for Genesis 2F and 3F is an awesome product. I have the bundle, but Wasteland came after, and that's the one used here.
I used the Wasteland addon for the shredded cloth look, and I like using the Post Apocalyptic preset (upper left in the image on the right) a lot too, because it fits in well with a lot of the situations Rosie finds herself portraying :)
Some heroes have been wronged so badly that they end up doing things that inevitably safeguard and assist the lives of others.
The Avenger costume is made up of Linday's Boyfriend Tee Wet and Dry, which has been cut up quite substantially using the Geometry Editor and given dforce properties, along with Complicated Eve from the Victoria 4 era for the complete lower half.
Along with editing the shaders for the shirt, for the lower half (Comp Eve) I did a conversion to Iray shaders as well as to make some custom edits of the original texture maps to make the Chinese Dragon and other graphics on the pants Glow, using Iray Emission settings.
Once we know a few tricks that always bring expected results, editing Surface Materials becomes a great way to really get the look of the costume how we envision it being.
The same can be said about getting to know the various options of 3Delight shaders. If we don't need specific Iray features, knowing how some of the 3Delight settings work can get some cool results without even converting.
Some folks have a price on their head. Some make a living collecting off of them!
Rosie's Bounty Huntress costume is quite a thing.
I put Elita Cyberpunk Megapack in my wish list at Daz 3D the first day I saw it - and couldn't wait until I could add it to my asset collection. It's just such a cool looking outfit.
Rosie's version uses Y'vas Outfit's boots because Rosie doesn't wear heels. It's hard to find boots or shoes for the ladies these days that don't have heels - so it's always good to find ones that I really like so that I have options for cases like this - and they look great together!
As you can see, I've altered the shape of this costume quite a lot.
Using Mesh Grabber is amazing!
Using the same Bounty Huntress costume as above, this version also has a custom identity mask.
I made the mask by editing the face maps used for Rosie and then applying them to a Geometry Shell (GeoShell).
Why not just edit the character's face?
Well, we can. In fact I did. I liked the results from using a GeoShell much better, because in Daz Studio we can alter the mesh offset distance of GeoShells (how far the shell stays away from the Actual mesh) which gives better shadows from the mask.
We could paint shadows onto the other method, but this works so much better and is easily changed if we need to.
Making a living can be tough in the chaotic life of a cyberpunk dystopian society. In this reality, Style over Substance is the motto.
So in this costume, we've made the Complicate Eve main pants into a clear plastic and added two GeoShells - each with a different offset and each sporting a different shader setup using Jen Greenlees' Cybernetics Iray Shaders - which was a Real Blast to create!
We've also adorned the outfit with Sci-Fi and Cyberpunk Gadgets - allowing Rosie to further her income with jobs that entail entering into Cyberspace! The goggles are from V4 Brazen.
